About David

David is a Partner at McGuire Law P.C. in Chicago where his class action practice is focused on emerging issues in technology, data privacy and consumer protection. David has been at the forefront of litigating cases under the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA) and has served as class counsel in multiple groundbreaking BIPA settlements including the first involving an employer's use of biometric information, and the first BIPA case ever tried by a jury. David regularly practices in state and federal trial and appellate courts around the country and his work has resulted in over $100,000,000 in relief to consumers.

Prior to joining McGuire Law, David clerked for a civil rights firm in Madison, Wisconsin where he conducted legal research and writing on various constitutional issues. David received his J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School where he spent a year working with the Wisconsin Innocence Project to exonerate the wrongfully convicted.
