About Nimmi

Nimmi Arora is an associate attorney at McGuire Law, P.C., where she focuses on class action litigation involving consumer protection, data privacy, and emerging technologies. Her experience includes cases under the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA), the Illinois Genetic Information Privacy Act (GIPA), and other state and federal privacy laws, including those in California.

Before joining McGuire Law, Nimmi gained experience in privacy, regulatory enforcement, and consumer protection through her work with the Wisconsin Department of Justice and in the financial services industry, where she conducted a 50-state survey of insurance-related privacy laws. Prior to law school, she worked in the technology sector in email marketing and product operations, which sparked her interest in data governance and user privacy.

While in law school, Nimmi served as Senior Business Editor of the Wisconsin International Law Journal, where she authored a paper comparing the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA).
